Aims and Purposes
Inspiring the path of the New Millennium, it is founded on the ancient principles of the noble Knights of the Order of the Dragon, who defended Europe from the infidels in order to experience a new springtime of communion and to defend itself from the new ‘infidels‘
The Aims of the Order are:
To support the various national FOD Associations (Priories) in the various countries of the world, in carrying out programmes and activities that further the Order’s purposes;
To promote and spread the Order throughout the world;
Coordinating and directing the activities of the Order and the individual National FOD Associations (Priories) in the various countries of the world.
The Purposes of the Order are:
to defend human rights and protect the free development of the human personality;
to defend the guarantee of the rights of the individual and the people to life, liberty, social and economic well-being, health, culture and quality of life, in any contingency that endangers or hinders their promotion.
In keeping with modern requirements, the Order repudiates war, lays down its arms and promotes universal brotherhood; it fights the ideologies of organised crime;
it promotes culture and education in the international field, creating universities, campuses and carrying out Vocational Training. Particular importance will be given to the education of new generations by providing them with the technical and spiritual tools to know the world;
Promotes charitable and philanthropic activities in the fields of health and education;
It promotes cultural and tourist initiatives and events to illustrate the millennial tradition of civilisation;
It promotes the development of the economy and, above all, of traditions, so dear to the soul of the people, who imbue them with their feelings and beliefs and continue them, from generation to generation, as the most conspicuous and jealous heritage of the human race.
